Master the skills needed to plan events and provide meeting services at UC Berkeley! This program — focused on development events — will empower you to save time and money through better campus knowledge and increased efficiencies.

This class is appropriate for any UC Berkeley staff members responsible for planning events for their units. Seasoned veterans will pick up new tips and have the opportunity to network with other experienced planners, while those new to event planning will get a crash course in the tools and resources that have taken others years to accumulate.

2025 Schedule

Participants in the event certificate program will leave with enhanced event management skills, practical tools for effective communication and collaboration, and an expanded professional network. Skill sets included in the program will include budgeting in a campus environment, project management, and crisis management. Campus experts will also help with resources such as locations, catering, parking, and accessibility. The program provides a holistic professional development experience.

The 2025 program is offered is in-person only.

Application Information

This class is open to everyone at UC Berkeley and covers the event planning process on the campus. Payment must be made via check or chart string prior to the start of the program. Attendees must attend each session to receive completion certificate.

Registration Fee & Payments

Registration costs $200, including handouts, breakfast, and lunch for all sessions.
